Day Twenty Nine: Weight Loss God’s Way

Day Twenty Nine: Weight Loss God’s Way

We are beginning to wind down our 31 days together.  Are you sad?  Don’t be.  God is in a good mood over you!  The truth about God is He is good.  He is always approachable and gracious towards us in our times of need, and everything he does always ends in good.

God’s glory is his goodness.

I am heavily hopeful that you are beginning to get your “sea legs” for seeing fitness more as a means to an end – the end goal to glorify God with all of who we are and all that we have.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.  1 Corinthians 10:31

I’m going to shoot it to you straight.  Living and staying free and whole in Christ won’t be easy, but it will always be better.  What if I told you that I could offer you a supplement that IS the only weight-loss supplement that works, and in essence, it IS that elusive magic bullet?  First, you should be skeptical, but I am hoping I’ve earned your trust and you’ll hear me out.

Here’s what I personally endorse and encourage you to get and use:

Humility

The supplement of humility might also be found on the shelves labeled as gentleness and/or meekness.

A general description of this supplement is as follows:

“Meekness towards God is that disposition of spirit in which the people of God accept His dealings with us as good, and therefore without disrupting or resisting.  In the Old Testament the meek are those WHOLLY relying on God rather than their own strength to defend against injustice.  Thus, meekness (humility) towards evil people (or circumstances) means knowing God is permitting the injuries; He is using them to purify His elect, and that He will deliver His elect in His time.  Gentleness or meekness is the opposite of self-assertiveness and self-interest.  It starts from trust in God’s goodness and control over a situation.  The gentle (humble, meek) person is not occupied with self at all.  This is a work of the Holy Spirit, not of the human will.” (Strong’s Concordance)

Take it daily, even when you don’t think you need to.  And…on the days you’re struggling… take it as many times as needed.  You can’t overdose, so don’t give that a second thought.  In fact, the more you use, the better you are going to feel.  Maybe not initially, but eventually.

Side effects include:

  • An initial burning sensation and mild discomfort in your heart, stomach, and head, with increased heart rate.  (Signs that pride is being killed off.  Breathe and it will pass shortly.)
  • An inability to talk.
  • An increased ability to listen.
  • An increased ability to see yourself as a sinner saved by grace.
  • Loss of personal rights and regrets.
  • An overwhelming sense of peace.  (Amount of time this takes to occur varies from person to person.)
  • Studies have proven that when taken regularly over days, weeks, months, and years, a person makes measurable gains in personal peace and power, becoming unstoppable and unquenchable.

So there you have it.  Do you want to get well?  This is THE magic bullet.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  1 Peter 5:6

Humble yourself before a very good God.  When you are feeling overwhelmed and not well, swallow your pride and follow with a heaping dose of humility.  Submit to God your heart, your life, your rights, your desires, your cravings, your ways, and your plans and watch your life grow well, even when your circumstances look bleak.

His love..
