9 However, as it is written:
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
Today, we are asked to look at life through the eyes of a child and be grateful for those things that even sustain us life. I find this somewhat amusing as Baby Girl has developed a tendency to be jealous of what other children have – the games and the toys that they have and she doesn’t. And she doesn’t have a lot of good toys at all, because we can’t afford it. But, neither is it good for her to be jealous of what other children have – she needs to learn to be grateful for what she has now.
Because she is the most amazing blessing her Dad and I could ever hope to have.
So, if I had to put myself in her shoes, would be grateful that my mom and dad love me so much, and all they want is for me to be who God created me to be. For the delicious food Dad cooks every night. For my pets, my home and my lovely warm bed.
