Zechariah 2 has the prophet experiencing a message from God through angels.  “I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand”.  Zechariah lifted his eyes toward God, and he received a vision of what was to come.  Do you lift your eyes to God?  Are you plugged in to seeking God’s direction by just coming and looking for His answer?  Zechariah communicates with the man with a ruler and asks what he is doing.  He was measuring Jerusalem to prepare for the return of God’s people.

Angels came and told Zechariah that “Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of people and livestock in it”.  It doesn’t make a lot of sense for Jerusalem to be inhabited again because the walls have been destroyed and torn down.  There was nothing to come back…
