“Life Cannot Be Bought” A poem.
I am intrigued with the man
Whose greed consumes him for more
He owns vast estates of land
Yet gives no thought to the poor
He is as the wolf that preys
On the weak and the harmless
Cunning in all of his ways
The light in him is darkness
Will he ever come to know?
That his days are all numbered?
When the curtain ends his show
Who will he be remembered?
For man’s life cannot be bought
Only Christ – He can redeem
If repentance had been sought
This man’s life would not be grim
