…the old man is snoring. Seriously, it is absolutely pouring with rain in Port Elizabeth today. The powers that be (as in Algoa FM) have informed us that we have had 80 ml in two hours. I have no idea how much this is, but from what I can see, it is clearly a lot. P.E. has not had this much rain – or it feels like it – since the big flood of 2006.
And still it is raining.
Anyway, Baby Girl slept through last night. Yes, through the thunder that I’m sure woke the dead, through the lightning that was so bright a blind man could see it and the pouring rain at 02:00 this morning. I had visions of having to get up and bring her through to our bed. But, no, on the one night you’d expect Baby Girl to wake up, she slept soundly, peacefully and only eventually woke up at about 06:30.
